“Gangs are as American as apple pie,” said a criminologist who has studied Denver’s gangs and law enforcement’s responses to their crimes.
“We will challenge the state when they fail to protect communities,” says one of the environmental advocates suing the state.
“This is our community, and if anything needs to change, we need to make it happen,” said the community group that funded this first-of-its-kind study
“I didn’t realize I was going to have to come alone,” says one of the refugees who waited years to reunite with her mother and start a new life in Denver.
